Steve Tyndal Joins Port of Brownsville Staff

Veteran port executive Steve Tyndal has joined the staff at the Port of Brownsville as senior director of marketing and business development.
He comes from Port Manatee, Florida, where he held a similar position for 20 years. At the Port of Brownsville, he is responsible for all trade development, marketing and public relations activities, with oversight responsibilities for the port’s 40,000 acres of real estate.
Tyndal earned certification as a Professional Port Manager (PPM) by the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) in 2005 and is past-chairman of the AAPA’s Harbors and Navigation Committee, the association’s oldest and largest standing technical committee. He currently serves as board member at-large for the International Propeller Club of the United States. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and a U.S. Army veteran, where he served in the President’s Honor Guard.
