Troy Line Promotes Key Employee

Troy Container Line, one of the world’s largest American-owned NVOCCs, promoted Derrick J. Magee to vice president of the FCL Department. Magee has played an integral role at Troy Container Line since joining the company in 2005. Most recently, he held the position of Assistant Vice President. Magee will assume his new leadership role effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Magee’s newly expanded responsibilities include continuing the development of global agent relations along with training the export managers and team-leaders to work with the carriers, negotiating FCL contracts and LCL Line cost. During his tenure at Troy Container Line Magee, has demonstrated exemplary strategic planning skills as well as strong leadership qualities. Magee will continue to work with various members of Troy’s sales staff to increase both commercial and household goods movements in the FCL department.
