US-Based ALOM Chooses Holland for European Headquarters
[ September 21, 2018 // Gary G Burrows ]ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management, recently opened its European headquarters in the Netherlands. The company will utilize its new headquarters to streamline operations and deepen its commitment to serving customers with sophisticated supply chain services, like inventory, production and fulfillment.
The California-based company chose Amsterdam for its extensive logistics network and strategic central European location. The Dutch city will allow ALOM access to one of the world’s largest and busiest container ports. It will also provide ALOM with proximity to highly efficient air, rail, trucking and e-commerce infrastructure.
“Our expanded European presence in Amsterdam benefits our customers by creating technology-driven efficiencies for delivery to suppliers and end-users across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, improving service and quality, and reducing costs,” said ALOM President and CEO Hannah Kain.
“By enhancing our presence in Europe, we are increasing our reach while minimizing environmental impact. We are also optimizing the customer service by near-sourcing and positioning inventory in close proximity to the markets our customers serve.”
