India and Turkey removed from the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)
[ June 14, 2019 // Gary G Burrows ]On May 16, 2019, and June 5, 2019, the Trump Administration published in the Federal Register the removal of Turkey and India from the list of beneficiary developing countries in the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program.
The effective date of termination of GSP benefits:
· Turkey – May 17, 2019
· India – June 5, 2019
As a result of this action, Turkey and India are no longer exempt from safeguard measures on certain crystalline silicon photovoltaic (CSPV) products or large residential washers.
