Dole Adds US Northeast-Central America Link

Dole Ocean Cargo Express LLC has introduced service between the U.S. Northeast and Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

The new offering, dubbed Mayan Express Service, expands Dole’s network coverage by providing an alternative to North Central America and the Port of Wilmington, Delaware.

Two 1,200 40-foot-equivalent-unit vessels, Robin-2 and Robin-5, will serve a fortnightly rotation with fixed day arrivals and departures of Wilmington; Santa Marta, Colombia; Puerto Castilla, Honduras; and Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.

The service can handle 40-foot standard and high-cube refrigerated containers, 40-foot dry containers, hazardous and refrigerated cargo as well as autos.
