Wallenius Wilhelmsen Adds Strategy Role
[ October 4, 2024 // Gary G Burrows ]Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the Oslo-based roll-on, roll-off and vehicle carrier, has promoted Mike Hynekamp to the newly created position of chief strategy and corporate development officer. John Felitto, senior vice president of vehicle services Americas, or VSA, will replace Hynekamp as chief operating officer of logistics services.
Lasse Kristofferson, president and CEO, said the changes supports his ambition to grow and transform into a data-driven organization that offers integrated zero-emission solutions to customers.
Hynekamp, who has been with the company for 17 years in various roles, will lead a newly established strategy and development office to drive the necessary changes and developments.
Felitto joined the company in July 2001 as vice president-sales and has held key commercial and management positions in sales, shipping and logistics. He was instrumental in transforming the company from an ocean carrier to a full-service logistics provider and is responsible for all aspects of VSA’s North American fulfilment and logistics operations.
