DAT Expands Offerings, Buys Trucker Tools
[ December 19, 2024 // Gary G Burrows ]DAT Freight & Analytics, which operates DAT One, the truckload freight marketplace, and DAT iQ, the freight data analytics service, said Dec. 17 that it acquired Trucker Tools, a carrier-forward capacity sourcing and load-tracking solution.
DAT, the Beaverton, Oregon-based business unit of Roper Technologies, said the move will combine Trucker Tools’ load tracking and carrier sourcing with DAT’s freight solutions. Brokers will continue to have load visibility and capacity tools for every load they manage, but with an enhanced suite of broker tools.

Trucker Tools’ mobile app provides drivers with resources on the road, access to a free-to-use load board, and multiple tracking options. More than 350,000 motor carriers have downloaded the app.
“We have reimagined the carrier rep function with an innovative capacity sourcing suite powered by automation and provided leading brokerages with load tracking at over 90 percent visibility compliance,” Trucker Tools said.
For DAT, shippers, transportation brokers, carriers, news organizations and industry analysts rely on DAT for market trends and data insights based on more than 235 million annual load posts and more than US$1 trillion in freight market transactions.
