Trailer Bridge Forms Partnership with GenLogs
[ February 14, 2025 // Gary G Burrows ]Trailer Bridge Inc. said it is partnering with freight intelligence company GenLogs to support the transport provider’s growing logistics division.
The collaboration leverages GenLogs’ nationwide network of sensors, commercial and open-source datasets to source capacity, identify shippers, and combat fraud in the trucking industry.
“We are excited to add this new technology platform to our suite of tools, enhancing our ability to deliver solutions and visibility for our customers,” said Eric Masotti, president of logistics at Trailer Bridge. “GenLogs is a game-changer for the logistics industry. In just a few months, it has helped us tackle fraud, source capacity in hard-to-serve lanes and this is just the beginning.”
Founded in 2023 by former U.S. intelligence officials, Virginia-based GenLogs said it applies counterterrorism principles to fight fraud in trucking and streamline freight operations. The company’s roadside sensors provide real-time truck data, including U.S. Department of Transportation and motor carrier numbers, as well as critical details about the equipment in use.
GenLogs said its goal is to unlock US$7 trillion of new global freight flows while fighting US$30 billion of fraud and theft. It also offers visibility into inbound and outbound lanes of more than 500,000 shippers across North America.
Trailer Bridge’s “investment in GenLogs means current and prospective customers of Trailer Bridge can have confidence that their freight will be handled with the highest levels of security and service,” said Ryan Joyce, GenLogs’ CEO.
“This partnership is about harnessing the power of people and technology to transform logistics,” said Mitch Luciano, CEO of Trailer Bridge. “There will always be a need for the human element in the supply chain, but empowering individuals with the data and insights GenLogs provides delivers the best of both worlds.”
Founded in 1991 by industry pioneer Malcom McLean, Trailer Bridge began with a focus on the Puerto Rican trade, expanding into domestic transportation in 2012, and growing its logistics division to include full truckload, intermodal shipping, cross-border solutions, and drayage. Recent expansions include an international shipping and freight forwarding division and a government services division.
