Trailer Bridge, Highway Partner on Tech Stack

Highway specializes in Carrier Identity® solutions for brokers, providing the necessary data to reduce fraud and source trusted carriers for every load. The technology platform is a part of the company’s focus on strengthening its carrier partnerships and overall operational efficiency within its logistics division.

Trailer Bridge recently reported a partnership with freight intelligence provider GenLogs to support the transport provider’s growing logistics division by providing real-time data through its nationwide network of sensors to source capacity, identify shippers and combat fraud in the trucking industry.
The collaboration leverages GenLogs’ nationwide network of sensors, commercial and open-source datasets to source capacity, identify shippers, and combat fraud in the trucking industry.
Trailer Bridge said its partnerships with Highway and GenLogs allows for greater efficiencies in their workflow to support shippers with freight management. The combined platforms harness technology to match loads with trusted carriers and carriers with backhaul opportunities to keep their equipment moving.
The technology implementation is being led by Scott Douthitt, Trailer Bridge’s vice president of logistics, “Highway has been a strong partner as we’ve navigated the implementation process, and we know this is just the beginning of a strong and enduring partnership,” he said.
Founded in 1991 by industry pioneer Malcom McLean, Trailer Bridge has grown from offering weekly Puerto Rican barge service into a global presence with locations in the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. After moving into domestic transportation in 2012, its logistics division includes full truckload, intermodal shipping, cross-border solutions, and drayage. Recent expansions include an international shipping and freight forwarding division and a government services division.
