American Airlines bans shipment of big-game trophies

Congratulations to American Airlines Cargo for taking a stand. Effective immediately, American Airlines will no longer transport the following wild game trophies for shipping worldwide: elephant, lion, water buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard.
American has strict acceptance policies for all shipments and is in full compliance with all government policies and regulations relating to protected species. American does not ship any endangered species as a game trophy and all other acceptance policies of game trophies continue to be reviewed to ensure the appropriate protection of these species are in place.
