CMA CGM to Launch Weekly WCSA Service
[ December 3, 2024 // Gary G Burrows ]French shipping line CMA CGM said it will launch a direct weekly service, Maya Service, dedicated to West Coast Central America and totally operated by CMA CGM.
The service will operate with two dedicated ships operated by CMA CGM, the CMA CGM Surabaya and Magdalena Schulte.
Maya Service will link Asia with the West Coast South America via Lazaro Cardenas, when the service begins with the first departure of the CMA Surabaya on Jan. 2. The service will have a rotation of Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Caldera, Corinto, Acajutla, Puerto Quetzal and Lazaro Cardenas through April 10, when the service will instead operate from Buenaventura, Colombia.
CMA CGM said the service is in response to market dynamics in the region and difficulties faced lately.
