Hapag-Lloyd Showcases Reefer Expertise at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA
[ September 3, 2015 // Gary G Burrows ]Asia Fruit LOGISTICA is in full swing in Hong Kong this week (September 2-14), and Hapag-Lloyd is there with wings on presenting its full range of specialized services in reliably transporting fresh fruit and vegetables all over the world.
The Hamburg-headquartered steamship line is attending the fair with its expert team and booth to intensify the relations to local partners and clients in one of the fastest growing reefer markets.

Recently, Hapag-Lloyd extended its container fleet with an order of 6,000 reefer containers of the latest generation with a total capacity of 12,000 TEU, strengthening its position as one of the largest reefer carriers in the world.
With its acquisition of Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores’ (CSAV), Hapag-Lloyd is also well positioned on the Latin America trades, which are an important part of the global reefer business. To strengthen Hapag-Lloyd’s leading role in the Latin American trade, the Company ordered five new 10,500 TEU ships with a high number of slots for the new reefers in April 2015.
