JAXPORT earns nationwide transportation marketing recognition
[ August 14, 2020 // Gary G Burrows ]The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) has received three marketing awards from the Minneapolis-based Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) 2020 Compass Awards Program. The port received three Compass awards, including an Award of Excellence, the recognition’s highest level.
TMSA’s Compass Award Program recognizes marketing and sales best practices by transportation and logistics companies that demonstrate effective execution and measurable business results.
JAXPORT received the following:
• Compass Award of Excellence in the Integrated Campaign category for JAXPORT’s 2019 rebrand.
• Compass Award of Merit in the Social Media Campaign category for the rebrand unveiling.
• Compass Award of Merit in the Sales and Marketing Collateral category.
“Educating cargo decision makers about Jacksonville’s efficiencies is an important part of our overall sales and marketing strategy,” said Robert Peek, JAXPORT Director and General Manager of Sales and Marketing. “From the organization’s award-winning rebrand to finding creative ways to market Jacksonville’s advantages to the industry, I am proud of the work our team does every day to attract more cargo—and the jobs and regional business impacts that come with it—to our community.”
Earlier this year, JAXPORT’s rebrand earned two 2020 Local Image Awards from the Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association.
JAXPORT’s branding and marketing initiatives are completed by the port’s in-house marketing team (Jeff Price, Amy Klinkenberg, Whitney Croxton and Chelsea Kavanagh). The team works to elevate JAXPORT’s position as a premiere seaport and global gateway into the Southeast U.S.
