LX Pantos form Intermodal Joint Venture
[ February 7, 2025 // Gary G Burrows ]Ocean Network Express and LX Pantos have formed a joint venture, Boxlinks LLC, to provide end-to-end domestic intermodal transportation services.
This strategic partnership will leverage the combined strengths of ONE and LX Pantos and use the companies’ partnerships with major rail carriers and trucking companies to provide efficient and timely delivery of cargo in the U.S.
“Through Boxlinks, we are transforming how we deliver value in the U.S.,” said Hiroki Tsuiji, ONE’s global chief officer – head of products and networks. “We will build a more resilient and agile inland network that will benefit our customers in the domestic market.”
Boxlinks will provide customized service to U.S. customers at competitive prices, leveraging access to an expanded equipment pool. Customers can use containers through Boxlinks for their inland-to-coastal transportation needs, optimizing efficiency across the supply chain.
Singapore-based ONE operates a fleet of more than 240 vessels with a capacity exceeding 1.9 million TEUs, providing container shipping services to more than 120 countries. Seoul -based LX Pantos, which said it’s the largest company in South Korea and among the world’s top seven sea freight forwarders, provides logistics services through 380 networks around the world.
