Michael Richter Appointed New Managing Director of Cargogate
[ January 26, 2016 // Gary G Burrows ]The Munich cargo handling company Cargogate has announced the appointment of Michael Richter as managing director.
Already familiar with the company through his experience with Munich Airport’s ground handling subsidiaries, Richter has been in charge of the two affiliated companies Cargogate and aerogate in the role of managing director since January 1, 2016.
Richter has impressive expertise in passenger, cargo and ground handling services and has an excellent reputation in the market for his focus on customers and service.
AeroGround, Cargogate and aerogate comprise Munich Airport’s integrated group of ground handling companies with a joint sales function that serves as a single point of contact
for the entire range of handling services from check-in through to cargo operations and the loading and unloading of aircraft. Cargogate has 180 employees and handles approximately 100,000 tons of cargo annually.
With about 500 employees, aerogate provides high-quality passenger services, handling 4 million passengers a year for 45 airline customers.
