OIA Global Opens New DTC Fulfillment Center in Mid-America
[ October 2, 2017 // Gary G Burrows ]OIA Global has announced the opening of its fourth Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) fulfillment facility located in Hebron, KY. The Airpark Distribution Center in Hebron complements OIA’s existing fulfillment centers and can reduce the delivery cycle times by as much as 2-3 days.
In today’s ultra-competitive world, where lead time to the consumer is most important, the 80,000 sq. ft. Hebron location is a true solution for OIA clients. Executive Vice President, Global Logistics, Dante Fornari notes, “The new facility reduces parcel shipping costs, while improving delivery cycle time, and there is room for expansion for new clients.”
“Hebron is a great service value for us, enabling us to get orders to customers, throughout the U.S., in 3 days or less. Regular ground shipping rates from a regional location are also substantially cheaper than having to expedite orders from the west coast,” Fornari said.
UK-based Rapha, a high-end performance roadwear, clothing, and equipment brand, has been shipping products ordered online from its U.S. location in Portland, OR. “The ability to fulfill orders from Hebron will better serve our east coast customers,” says Dov O’Neil, the Head of Logistics for Rapha, “and OIA Global’s expertise and experience in DTC fulfillment made them a perfect choice for this next phase.”
