Quiet Logistics Expands to the Midwest
[ May 10, 2017 // Gary G Burrows ]Quiet Logistics, Inc., a leading provider of outsourced fulfillment solutions, has announced the opening of its Fulfillment Center of the Future in Hazelwood, Missouri, just outside St. Louis. The innovative new center, built on Quiet’s proprietary Fulfillment Management System, is strategically located to enable two- and three-day shipping to eCommerce customers across the United States. At capacity it will be powered by a staff of approximately 250 full-time employees working alongside a state-of-the-art Locus Robotics autonomous picking solution for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Thanks to this new location as well as strategic carrier partnerships, Quiet is now able to reach 100% of the U.S. population in two to three days at extremely competitive rates, often with far less accessorial charges than other U.S.-origin zip code. The Midwest hub offers eCommerce retailers a quick two-day delivery transit time to New York City, and three-day transit to Los Angeles via ground shipping.
“Managing split inventory cross-country is no longer a necessity when a fulfillment network can provide two-day delivery to the majority of eCommerce shoppers,” says Dr. Brian Lemerise, President of Quiet Logistics. “Coupled with industry-leading same-day shipping performance, these transit times ensure customer orders arrive quickly and accurately. Moreover, Quiet can process an eCommerce order within an hour of receiving the order and make sure it delivers with a custom – and often personalized – brand experience.”
Says Nick Saunders, SVP of Sales at Quiet Logistics, “Expanding to St. Louis is an important strategic initiative as we continue to increase the capacity of our fulfillment network.”
Quiet is hiring talented full-time employees in the St. Louis area, including general warehouse workers, IT, HR, and sales personnel. To learn more about career opportunities, please visit www.quietlogistics.com or email careers@quietlogistics.com.
Adds Lemerise, “We are excited to open our next great center with the best technology available today, and the best people. The Locus Robotics solution increases throughput and empowers employees to work at their full capabilities. It’s a partnership that always results in the strongest performance, and we look forward to bringing it to the St. Louis market.”
