Smart Data project to support World Bank
[ July 26, 2016 // Gary G Burrows ]Cargo iQ and the World Bank Group (WBG) are partnering in their global efforts to enhance supply chain efficiency and improve the participation of developing countries in global value chains.
Through the Smart Data project, information generated by Cargo iQ members is pooled, providing a rich resource from which to identify a wide range of performance indicators. This information can be very valuable to the WBG in their efforts to advocate for efficiency and modernization of procedures relative to air cargo worldwide.
WBG provides assistance to over 100 governments in the developing world, in the form of technical assistance and investment project financing, in areas such as trade and transport facilitation, Customs reform, and transport infrastructure modernization.
