Diana Containerships Inc. Announces the Sale of a Panamax Container Vessel, the M/V Garnet

Diana Containerships, a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of containerships, announced that it signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement on Sept. 21 to sell to an unaffiliated third party the 1995-built vessel "Garnet" (formerly "APL Garnet") for demolition, with delivery due to the buyer by the end of September 2015, for a sale price of approximately US$7.85 million before commissions.
