United Expanding Cargo Operations in EWR
[ August 31, 2017 // Gary G Burrows ]United Cargo is expanding its EWR Cargo operations in the near future.
Effective in September, United Cargo will its operations to a second location at Building 340. After analyzing timing and traffic flow, United Cargo officials have determined that segregating our import and export processing in separate buildings will provide the quickest and most efficient service.
Imports will continue to be processed at United’s current location in Building 344. Customers who send drivers to both imports and exports should be mindful that, after the second building opens, these functions will be segregated.
Please note another service adjustment in EWR associated with the upcoming construction: effective August 20, United Cargo customer service in EWR was closed for acceptance and pick up from 0030-0430 daily. This allows United Cargo to conduct a thorough inventory of all inbound, outbound and truck freight. United officials believe this daily inventory will promote expedited service, along with reduced wait times and increased efficiency, when we reopen at 0430 each morning.
Please note also that the customer hours and location for our QuickPak, QuickPak International and PetSafe services are not changing. Import and export QPK, QPI and PetSafe will continue to be handled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at our current location in Passenger Terminal C.
