JAXPORT, the nation’s second-largest vehicle handling port, welcomes Ben Buben as the port’s new Director of Cargo Sales, specializing in auto and Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) cargoes.

Buben is responsible for attracting new vehicle and RoRo business to JAXPORT and managing the port’s relationships with auto processors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and ocean carriers. He also oversees the port’s military and project cargo accounts.

With more than two decades of experience in automotive operations and business development, Buben most recently served as Vice President of Pasha Automotive Services, one of the nation’s leading vehicle processors and service providers. In that role, Buben managed multi-million dollar contracts and oversaw end-to-end supply chain management for OEMs, service providers and dealer groups.

“Ben’s knowledge and expertise in all facets of automotive supply chain management will be a valuable asset to our auto and RoRo customers,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “We are committed to supporting the continued growth of our vehicle business and promoting all of the cost-saving advantages Jacksonville is becoming known for throughout the industry.”

A graduate of Baker College, Buben holds a degree in business management and marketing.

JAXPORT cargo expert Frank Camp, who previously managed the port’s auto and RoRo business, has shifted to an expanded role focusing on developing new and existing container cargo business with accounts throughout the Southeast U.S. In this position, Camp also manages the port’s relationships with freight forwarders and non-vessel owning common carriers (NVOs).
