Volga-Dnepr’s IL-76TD-90VD guarantees dedicated airlift for heavy machinery equipment
[ October 21, 2018 // Gary G Burrows ]Volga-Dnepr Airlines has organized the delivery of a crankshaft from Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Mumbai, India.
The flight was chartered by DHL Global Forwarding for the 38-ton shipment, which had been packaged in a 7-meter long box alongside some support equipment required for loading.
Within 12 hours of receiving the request, Volga-Dnepr’s experienced logistics specialists developed several loading and packaging options for the customer. This promptness, and Volga Dnepr’s ability to provide a bespoke cargo platform for the required weight distribution reduced the lead-time for the uplift accordingly.
“The transportation of this crankshaft is another demonstration of our commitment to our customers in the energy and heavy machinery sector.
