Warren Jones appointed TIACA Director
[ September 4, 2015 // Gary G Burrows ]Warren Jones has been appointed TIACA Director, reporting into Doug Brittin, Secretary General and based at the Association’s Miami headquarters, USA.
Kenneth Gibson has been made Manager – Accounts and Business Development, also based in Miami.
Jones, whose most recent role was President of Cargo Network Services (CNS) at IATA, will focus primarily on TIACA’s sales initiatives and will also manage other aspects of the Association’s commercial development programs and operations.
“Warren’s extensive experience and industry knowledge and Kenneth’s background with airfreight will be tremendous assets as we focus on our three pillars of advocacy, networking, and knowledge, and we are delighted they are joining the team,” said Brittin.
“With so many new regulations and developments on the horizon in our industry, TIACA’s position as the only Association representing and bringing together all sectors in the industry has never been more important.”
Gibson will be supporting Jones and developing TIACA’s sales strategy. He will be an important point of contact for TIACA members.
“I am very pleased to be joining the TIACA team at such an exciting time for the Association,” said Jones.
“We are busy growing our membership and planning for the ACF in Paris next year, which promises to be a well-attended event with plenty of content and networking opportunities.”
Jones brings over 18 years’ air cargo experience to his new post, including senior roles at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Chapman Freeborn. Jones’ most recent role was President of Cargo Network Services (CNS) at IATA.
Gibson brings a decade of experience in the logistics and finance sectors, having previously
worked for organizations including IATA, Kerry Logistics, and World Fuel Services.
